the namibian institute of culinary education is a vocational training centre and chef finishing school. it aims to assist novice school-leavers and professionals in obtaining recognised qualifications, key skills and work experience for use in the hospitality industry. candidates are trained in commercial cookery skills, as well as food and beverage management.
in order to gain practical experience in their profession, the up-market restaurant employs numerous trainees in its operations. this hands-on approach is the driving force behind the training facility's success. the effect of the school manifests directly in the excellent service delivery at nice restaurant and bar; creating an active training ground for the students in the culinary arts.
